When I think of a traditional, all American home I think of a home in a platted subdivision of like kind homes with trees, sidewalks, curbs and paved roads. I would have to say that, for me, a traditional home would have from 1000 to 2500 square feet and usually features 3 or more bedrooms, 2 full baths and a two car garage. Usually such traditional homes are on standard size lots under 21,000 square feet. In the Ojai Valley you can find a traditional, family style home in a variety of Ojai Valley Neighborhoods. The maps below mark a few of this areas. Usually prices range from $400,000 to $1,500,000 with and average price being around $650,000. Therefore, if you are willing to pay from $600,000 to $750,000 I would say that you can find a nice home in a quiet Ojai Valley neighborhood. The more you drop below $600,000 the more you give up in the way of size, amenities, condition and location. Step above the $750,000 mark and you can most likely get a home in primium location sometimes on a larger lot or in a country setting.
