Meiners Oaks is an unincorporated community lying west of the City of Ojai in Ventura County. It is estimated the population in around 3600. This area is named after rancher John Meiners who purchased the land in the late 1870s. Meiners Oaks is bordered by the community of Mira Monte and the City of Ojai. This is one of the older Ojai Valley neighborhoods and has a variety of older homes. Meiners Oaks is famous for the Restaurant and Bakery of Farmer and the Cook. This area is close to the Ventura River bottom where you will find numerous hiking trails. On the outer areas of the community it is common to find farming, orchards and horse facilities.
